Hazard Mitigation Plan Update: Public Meeting on January 14

Residents Invited to Review Draft and Provide Input

January 6, 2020 – (Morrow, GA) – Clayton County and its seven incorporated municipalities have completed an update to their Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) and want your input on the draft plan. A public meeting to review the draft will be held on Thursday, January 14 at 5 p.m. via Zoom. Anyone interested should email abigail.moore@woodplc.com for a link to attend the meeting.

Clayton County, Georgia is updating its 2015 plan to better protect the people and property of the county from the effects of natural and human-caused hazards and to maintain eligibility for mitigation funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The incorporated municipalities included in the plan include: City of College Park, City of Forest Park, City of Lake City, City of Morrow, City of Riverdale, City of Jonesboro and City of Lovejoy.
