Water Service Line Inventory and Public Portal

Clayton County Water Authority completed an initial inventory of water service line material throughout the county in early 2024. This inventory is required as part of the U.S. EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule Revision (LCRR) that requires an initial inventory of lead service lines to be identified by October 2024.
Our inventory results were submitted to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) on October 15, 2024. Click here to find your property on our Lead and Copper Inventory Public Portal.
The service line is the pipe that connects the house or building to the water meter, which is owned by the customer. CCWA’s service line connects the water meter to our water main. Service lines may be made of copper, lead, galvanized metal or plastic.
To verify the type of material, CCWA crews performed spot digging at selected water meters in various locations throughout the county.
