Behind The Tap Series: Senior Business Analyst Mandy Lindow

Meet Senior Business Analyst Mandy Lindow. Mandy has the complex job of developing, testing, and managing financial and informational reports for review for CCWA’s Chief Financial Officer, Board of Directors, and external auditors. She also customizes and configures several JD Edwards applications such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budget, Fixed Assets, General Accounting and Job Cost. Mandy wears many hats as she works in collaboration with Finance, Cash Applications and Billing by assessing or reviewing transactions or processes and coming up with strategies to improve efficiency. “I support the entire Finance Department when needed, whether that is to complete a reconciliation or sign for a check in a supervisor’s absence,” she says.

There is never a dull moment in Mandy’s role. “I like that each day looks different, holding its own set of challenges.” Mandy enjoys being able to collaborate with other departments throughout CCWA because that gives her an opportunity to catch up with her work peers or provide them with a tool to help make their job a little easier. Mandy also enjoys being able to show off her creative side in her role as she is also responsible for coming up with a design for reports. “I think this is where I can use my creativity the most,” she says.

Mandy’s career journey at CCWA began over 22 years ago where she started out as a Meter Reader in Meter Services. Since then, she has held various roles here including Capital Assets Coordinator, Revenue Fund Accountant, Billing Supervisor, and Inventory Supervisor in the Warehouse. Now, Mandy is thriving in her current role as Sr. Business Analyst. She contributes her success to her experience working in countless positions and becoming proficient in every role. “It seems like I’ve been around the world but I’m grateful for the knowledge I gained from each aspect of the organization. I think it has helped to develop me into a more well-rounded employee,” she adds.

Lastly, Mandy is heavily involved in the planning of some of CCWA’s biggest annual events such as Employee Appreciation Week. She also is a part of Hawgs for Humanity, CCWA’s BBQ team that competes at the Annual Georgia Association of Water Professional’s Water for People BBQ competition. “I am sucker for a good competition so that’s fun, but I also LOVE the chance to really create!” #waterprofessional
