Raven Reese Earns GAWP Emerging Leader Award
August 21, 2023 (Morrow, Georgia) – – Clayton County Water Authority’s (CCWA) Senior Communications Specialist Raven Reese earned the Georgia Association of Water Professional’s (GAWP) Jack C. Dozier Emerging Leader Award during its recent annual conference in Savannah.
According to GAWP, this award recognizes an individual who has been a member of GAWP for five years or less, for outstanding service related to activities in support of the Association. The recipient has demonstrated a commitment to professional education and GAWP through voluntary service through committee involvement, district support, technical contributions, membership recruitment, and/or association support at a level of service above and beyond the call of duty.

Reese began working at CCWA in 2018 as a Communications Intern while a student at Clayton State University. Following her graduation, she was hired full time as Communications Specialist in January 2019 and was promoted to Sr. Communications Specialist in December 2022.
Jack C. Dozier was GAWP’s Executive Director for 25 years from 1990 until his retirement in 2015. One of Jack’s trademarks on GAWP was his support and mentoring of young water professionals, so to recognize and memorialize the impact and last legacy Jack has on the association, this award was named in his honor. GAWP educates, provides professional development, and promotes sound public policy in the water resources and related environmental fields.
