CCWA Offering Small Business Development Workshop August 15

‘Bonds…All the Right Bonding’

Morrow, Georgia – The Clayton County Water Authority’s (CCWA) Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) Program is offering a free workshop, ‘Bonds…All the Right Bonding,’ on August 15 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at CCWA’s Marie Barber Community Room located at 1600 Battle Creek Road in Morrow.

The workshop will be facilitated by Insurance Broker Steven M. Green with Deandra ‘Dee’ Moore as the guest speaker. This session will cover essential topics such as basic concepts of bonding, including:

• Bid bonds
• payment bonds
• performance bonds
• SBA bonding

Green is a broker with I’ve Got You Covered Insurance and Chairman/CEO of The RoundTable. Moore is a seasoned corporate professional with more than 20 years sales, management and compliance experience. Her management experience extends to both the private and public sectors including working for the federal government and for other major companies such as First Union National Bank of Georgia, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Georgia, Cigna Healthcare, United States Census Bureau and other major corporations in Atlanta. In 2017, Dee founded JDMoore Insurance Brokers, LLC. (“JDMIB”) which is an independent insurance brokerage that specializes in all types of commercial lines insurance, including property & casualty, general liability and surety bonding.

This workshop is open to small local businesses locally based inside Clayton County or locally based in Cherokee, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale.
