Behind the Tap Spotlight: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Ronald Romero

Meet Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Ronald Romero. Ronald works in our General Services department where he is responsible for managing a group of six who take care of our numerous facilities. This work includes carpentry, painting, sandblasting, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and other maintenance. Ronald manages many special projects as well as scheduling the work. Ronald plays a major part in making sure the job gets done.

Managing many different projects can be hectic from time to time but Ronald enjoys being able to be innovative in his role. “I like working with my team and being able to create new ideas and solutions for CCWA.” he adds. “I have a passion for carpentry so being able to work with the team on building projects is very satisfying to me”.

The best part of Ronald’s job is that he gets to work on all CCWA facilities. “I feel that our team is the face of CCWA because we are responsible for the appearance and maintenance of all of our facilities.” Aside from being supervisor, Ronald also serves on our CCWA Safety Committee where he can provide new ideas and report safety information back to his team.

Deadlines are extremely important for Ronald and his team. It can be challenging keeping up with the many projects they may have at one time. “Sometimes we have multiple orders come in from all of the CCWA facilities and we have to make sure that we meet deadlines for each one and that can be the hardest part of this job” #waterprofessional
