Meet Information Technology (IT) Communications Administrator Quinton Burton. With over 16 years of experience in IT, Quinton plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication systems across the Water Authority. On a typical day, Quinton manages various communication platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications servers, Virtual Observer recording servers, Microsoft Office 365 suite, Skykit media players, cellular device management, and the Veeam Office 365 backup server. His responsibilities range from monitoring system health and performance to troubleshooting and addressing any issues that arise promptly.
One of Quinton’s favorite aspects of his job is tackling complex issues within the voice and Office 365 environments. Each challenge provides an opportunity for him to apply his technical expertise and problem-solving skills. Quinton particularly enjoys the research aspect of troubleshooting, as it allows him to continuously learn and discover new techniques or technologies.

Quinton’s role as a Communications Administrator is dynamic and diverse. “Some days, I am immersed in meetings, while other days, I am traveling to different sites to install, replace or remove tech equipment across CCWA’s footprint,” he mentions. Regardless of the task at hand, Quinton’s dedication to providing top-notch communication solutions never wavers.
With three years of service at CCWA and a wealth of experience from previous roles, including Network Engineer positions at the City of South Fulton and Southern Company, Quinton brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
