January 30, 2018 by Suzanne Brown

The Clayton County Water Authority’s (CCWA) Small Local Business Enterprise Program (SLBE) is offering small local businesses in the metro Atlanta area a free workshop, ‘Small Business Law: Understanding Your Contract!’ on Tuesday, February 6 from 10 a.m. – noon.

The workshop will be held at South Clayton Recreation Center at 1837 McDonough Road in Hampton. The two hour training will cover topics about brand protection, understanding the contract terms, service performance requirements, compensation under the contract terms and indemnification clauses. Small firms locally based inside Clayton County or locally based in Cherokee, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Rockdale and Spalding are invited to attend the workshop. Registration is required for this event. To register, visit our Small Local Business page under the Procurement tab on this website. For more information, email us at ccwa_slbe_program@ccwa.us or call 770-960-5880.

CCWA’s SLBE Program provides an additional race and gender neutral tool for the Authority to use in its efforts to ensure that all segments of the local business community have a reasonable and significant opportunity to participate in CCWA contracting. The program is also designed to foster effective broad-based competition from all segments of the vendor community, including, but not limited to, minority business enterprises, women-owned business enterprises and small business enterprises.
